Third Time's a Charm

Just got home from Staples and wow, was that an awesome one. The Kings looked strong throughout the entire game and for once, just once, it seemed that the 11,000 or so people at Staples Center were positive that in the final 5 minutes of the game and into overtime... the Kings were NOT going to give up a goal. That my friends is called confidence. The confidence that a goaltender named Erik Ersberg has brought to this team.

Kings 3, The Dallas Stars 2 (SO)

Sitting in the 100's is much, much different than sitting in the 200's. And while I will continue to prefer my regular Half Season Ticket Package seats... to sit 15 rows behind the Dallas bench was really cool. I got to sit 3 rows behind the infamous CBGB from Let's Go Kings.com. He was rocking a Kings era Philippe Boucher and even he seemed pleased with the Kings effort tonight. But the real celebrity was seated directly in front of us:

This is during one of his quiet, introspective moments.

If you don't know who Rental Man is... then consider yourself lucky. The best was during overtime when he was screaming "Come on Kings, don't play like peasants... play like Kings!"

I didn't get a good look at the Dustin Brown hit that led to that major penalty, but from the replay on the jumbotron, it sure didn't look like boarding. And boy, Coach Murray seems like a genius for putting Wayne Simmonds out there in the shootout.

3 games in a row. First time since January of 2007. Such excitement for this young team. Getting excited about 3 wins in a row should show you all just how tough it's been for this team the last few seasons.

Now, That's What I Call Excitement!!! Vol 1
