Something's Gotta Give

The 0-4-1 Florida Panthers and the 0-3-2 Los Angeles Kings. Thanks to there no longer being ties... someones gotta win, right? Right??? Oh.. thank god they won.

Kings 3, Big Cats 2

I guess I wasn't the only one who wasn't able to watch this game last night. We have a guest in town, and since the tv room also doubles as the guest room, I wasn't able to watch the game in full.

But the Kings beat a team they should beat. They had a lot of trouble doing that last year. They didn't dominate, but it doesn't matter as long as you get those 2 points. Dustin Brown's goal was a pure goal-scorers goal... using the defenseman as a screen to fire off a quick snap shot. And I don't care if Anze Kopitar doesn't score as much as he did last year... as long as he keeps making amazing passes on the Power Play. Both those players were asked by Coach Murray to step it up and they came through. 18 year Drew Doughty continues to get better and better each game.

The Florida Panthers are not good. Not good at all. Again, it shows what a great goaltender can do to keep a team in a game.

And Erik Ersberg. Well... 2 games... 3 points. Yes, I know that he gave up a very soft goal at the start of the 3rd. But you know what... it happens to the best of them:
